Bengaluru: Chief Minister Basavaraj Bommai on Saturday May 28 asked leader of the Opposition Siddaramaiah that he must clarify whether he is an Aryan or Dravidian.
Reacting to verbal attacks by Siddaramaiah on the RSS, he reiterated that Siddaramaiah must clarify where he came from, and on being Dravidian or Aryan?
Siddaramaiah on Friday May 26 had asked, “Are RSS people native to India? Are Aryans native to this country? It is Dravidians who are originally from this country. Who is responsible for the 600 year rule of Mughals? If Indians stayed united, was it possible for them to rule over us?”
Reacting to opposition leader Siddaramaiah’s statement that RSS people came from outside and that Narendra Modi should not be compared to Former Prime Minister Jawaharlal Nehru, he said, “There can be no comparison between RSS and Nehru because when China invaded the Indian border, Nehru parted with the border without taking any action. But Prime Minister Narendra Modi stood firm when China came to occupy the border area and saved the region. He even did not compromise with Pakistan. He has achieved the integrity and unity of India. Modi has made India powerful. Therefore, there can be no comparison between Narendra Modi and Nehru,” he said.
