Bengaluru: Chief Minister Basavaraj Bommai urged all Zilla Panchayat Chief Executive Officers (CEOs) to work 10 hours a day, and visit villages three days in a week.
Participanting in a review meeting via video conference, he said that there is an urgent need for effective implementation of all the government schemes. He asked ZP CEOs to make surprise visits to ensure that the government machinery is functioning well. Further, he asked the officials to review the scheme implementation development regularly.
If the CEOs work hard, it is not difficult to bring the real changes. The real changes can be brought only through the Panchayat Raj system for which CEOs are the heads, he said.
