Bengaluru: Chief Minister Basavaraj S. Bommai felt the need for yearly study to augment environment protection in the State.
He was speaking at the ceremony held at Aranya Bhavan here on Saturday September 11 to pay tribute to forest martyrs. Expressing sadness that the forest cover in Karnataka is 10 percent less than the National average, he said that more projects that will alleviate environmental deficiencies need to be tabled during budget sessions. He assured of the same in the next budget.
He also stressed on the need to save environment for the future generation.
