Bengaluru: Chief Minister Basavaraj Bommai convened a lunch meeting on Sunday August 8 with business leaders to discuss different economic and infrastructure challenges.
Kiran Mazumdar Shaw, the executive chairperson of Biocon Limited, organised the lunch meeting. Among those attending were Wipro founder Azim Premji, T. A. Mohandas Pai, Chairman of Manipal Global Education, Kris Gopalakrishnan, Co-founder of Zerodha Nikhil Kamath, and others.
Following the meeting, Bommai thanked Shaw in a tweet. “It was a successful lunch meeting with all of you. Had a wonderful conversation on industry and Bengaluru development,” he tweeted.
Shaw tweeted that they have assured to CM of their support and are convinced that he will drive visible change.
In a tweet, entrepreneur Udayant Malhoutra said that a cooperation between the government, academics, the corporate sector, and civic society was in the process “to promote a better life for all residents. Bangalore to become a Global Aerospace Manufacturing Engineering hub.”
