Bengaluru: Considering the sluggish probe into the mining irregularities by the Special Investigation Team that was supposed to have completed its job before 2017, Mining industrialist Tapal Ganesh has said that Chief Minister Siddaramaiah has ‘entered pact’ with former minister Gali Janardhan Reddy.
“The special investigation team probing mining irregularities has to complete its job before 2017. However, there has been no action in the cases against Reddy. The chief minister has not taken steps to file charge sheet, owing to political pressure,” Ganesh told reporters here on Monday.
Siddaramaiah, during his stint as the leader of the Opposition had vowed to put all people involved illegal mining behind bars. “But, going the present situation, it appears that he has some understanding with Reddy,” Ganesh said.
