Bengaluru: As the mandate goes in favour of National Democratic Alliance (NDA) and Bharatiya Janata Party (BJP), Chief Minister H D Kumaraswamy has congratulated Prime Minister Narendra Modi on the massive victory.
He has tweeted, “The general election results were unexpected. Nevertheless, I respect the mandate given by the people of the country and once again congratulate Prime Minister Narendra Modi for achieving such a mandate. I also would like to congratulate all the candidates who have won the general election.”
Meanwhile, he has said that the party had seen defeat several times and its workers must not feel bad about it.
“We need to work on making the party stronger and the coalition leaders will sit together and introspect on where we have gone wrong”, CM HDK said.
