Bengaluru: Former Union Minister and Former MLC C. M. Ibrahim has taken over as Janata Dal (Secular) State President after his formal induction into the party.
After taking charge, Ibrahim appealed to the people to help JD (S) get back the glory that it had in 1994. Help us make H. D. Kumaraswamy the Chief Minister by supporting the party win 123 seats in 2023 Assembly Elections.
Ibrahim quit Congress a month ago after his unhappiness over B. K. Hariprasad being appointed as Leader of the Opposition in the Council. Interestingly, Ibrahim was with the JD (S) before joining Congress in 2008 along with Former Chief Minister Siddaramaiah. He first contested polls first from Janata Party in the year 1978 and also became minister during the regime of Gundu Rao. He later joined JD (S) where he became a minister and was a close associate of H. D. Deve Gowda.
