Bengaluru: Chief Minister HD Kumaraswamy held a meeting with rebel leader Ramesh Jarikiholi on Wednesday, March 6 and held a detailed discussion with him. Another rebel Athani MLA Mahesh Kumatahalli was also present.
It is said that the CM met Jarikiholi without any security personnel and this meeting has become a talking point considering the fact that the coalition government is facing a serious threat with one rebel leader Umesh Jadhav all set to join the BJP.
It may be recalled that four rebel leaders of the Congress party had created a lot of problem to the coalition government, putting the very existence of the government at stake. The Congress Legislative Party Leader Siddaramaiah had complaint against the four and had also mooted dismissal of the four from the party.
The meeting on Wednesday gains importance because it is said that the CM may have held talks with the two rebels to ensure that they do not quit the party and cause further trouble to the government at the state.
