Bengaluru: Anupama Shenoy, the former deputy superintendent of police (DySP) has filed a complaint at Halsur Gate police station on Tuesday, October 4. The officer, who resigned from her job at Kudligi, has alleged in her complaint that people including CM Siddaramaiah were responsible for her transfer.
Shenoy’s decision to quit was triggered by lack of support within the police force on her decision to detain the owner of a liquor outlet being constructed, allegedly illegally, in Kudligi, according to reports.
The former DySP has requested legal action against the CM, DGP Om Prakash, former minister Parameshwar Naik, SP Chethan and MP Sriramalu for her transfer during the town panchayat election at Kudligi.
According to police sources, the department has not filed the FIR now. They would be doing it only after consulting legal experts and higher authorities.
