Bengaluru: Chief Minister Siddaramaiah expressed his gratitude to the people of Karnataka, especially friends and well wishers, for sharing his sadness in the hour of grief, in the untimely demise of his elder son Rakesh.
In a message from Brussels, Siddaramaiah said, “My pain is inexplicable and my loss is irreplaceable. Still, I am unable to control tears. But, I feel, I will be failing in duty, if I do not express gratitude for the people, who stood by me, in this hour of grief,” he messaged.
Meanwhile, the mortal remains of Rakesh have reached Mysuru city and the arrangements for public tribute is on full swing.
DK Shivakumar, G Parmeshwara, Dinesh Gundurao and others have arrived in Mysuru in a special flight. Digvijay Singh is on his way to attend the funeral of Rakesh.
M Karunanidhi condoles Rakesh death
In a letter, DMK leader and former Chief Minister of Tamil Nadu, M Karunanidhi condoled the death of Rakesh and said the family should be supported at the time of grief.
