Bengaluru: On Sunday January 2, Chief Minister Basavaraj Bommai will meet with his Cabinet members who represent Bengaluru in the Assembly.
The CM is anticipated to discuss the growth of the IT capital as well as the implementation of various projects that have been put on hold.
Ministers V. Somanna, Dr. C. N. Ashwatha Narayan, S. T. Somashekar, Byrati Basavaraju, R. Ashoka, K. Gopalaiah, and Muniratna will attend the meeting at the CM’s home office ‘Krishna.’ Members of Parliament, legislators from various parties, and the officers concerned will attend the meeting virtually.
According to sources, pending projects like the Cauvery Phase-IV, which would provide drinking water to 110 villages under the BBMP’s authority, will be discussed.
The filling of potholes and an elevated road leading to Kempegowda International Airport is likely to be discussed.
The meeting is important for the BJP ahead of the Bruhat Bengaluru Mahanagara Palike elections, as well as the Congress, which has planned a 75-kilometre padayatra from Mekedatu to Bengaluru over the subject of the Mekedatu drinking water project’s implementation.
