Bengaluru: CM HD Kumaraswamy will visit the Sulwadi Maramma temple on Tuesday at 3 pm. He is expected to announce several relief measures and a comprehensive package for those families affected by the Maramma temple prasadam poisoning incident. The tragic episode has claimed 17 lives and left more than 112 other devotees sick.
According to the sources in the Chief Minister’s Office (CMO), the CM will land at Bidarahalli helipad at 3 pm. “From Bidarahalli he will proceed towards Sulwadi, Martalli and other villages and meet the grieving families. He may not visit Maramma temple where the tragedy was reported,” said sources.
“The proposed relief include six months of food grains and other commodities, a medical insurance, free education for the orphaned children and a comprehensive development package for the villages,” he explained.
