Bengaluru: Chief Minister H D Kumaraswamy warned Excise Commissioner Munish Moudgil of suspension who allegedly neglected his order to transfer the excise inspectors, who were transferred just before the election.
Speaking to media persons in his official residence Krishna, here on Friday, Kumaraswamy said that the government officers should also develop humanity along with seniority and sincerity. Every officer must imbibe these values, he said.
“On the backdrop of the Assembly elections many officials, staffs were transferred to faraway places, even 600 to 700 km away. The women officials of the excise department requested me to cancel the transfer. So, a direction was given to Commissioner Munish Moudgil to re-transfer them. But, I came to know that he said that it cannot be done whoever tells it. So, I gave another direction to him. He would verify the files by Monday noon. I will take further course of action if he fails in it,” the CM warned.
