Bengaluru: The first session of the State Legislature is scheduled to be held on Monday, February 29, but the chances of CM’s Rs 70 lakh worth Hublot dominating the session is bright.
The session will begin with Governor Vajubhai Vala’s address to members of both the Houses of the Legislature. The session is scheduled to last till March 5.
The issue of CM’s watch has come as a major embarrassment to the Congress.
Though the CM had downplayed the matter stating that it was gifted to him by an old friend, it is believed that people within the Congress party have differed in the matter and even the High Command has been dissatisfied with the explanation given by the CM.
JD(S) leader H D Kumaraswamy who first raked up the luxury watch issues and continued to make string of serious allegations against the CM has further said that he will soon release a set of new documents on the issue in coming days.
The State BJP President Pralhad Joshi has already filed a complaint with Enforcement Directorate.
