Complaint with ACB against MLA Suresh Kumar

Bengaluru: The legal cell of Congress party has lodged a complaint with Anti Corruption Bureau (ACB) against Rajajinagar BJP MLA S Suresh Kumar, accusing him of having disproportionate wealth.

The complaint has been submitted by the legal cell secretary Soorya Mukundaraj, on Saturday.

According to the complaint, the MLA has purchased a house at Sharada Colony of Basaveshwara Nagar by paying Rs. 1.46 crores. Rs.11.85 lakh was paid towards registration and stamp fees. He had taken a loan of Rs.15 lakh from Nagaraj and Rs. 6 lakh from Narayana. Along with this, a site which was purchased in Dasanapura of Nelamangala in December 2009, in the name of his mother Susheelamma and daughter for Rs.1.68 lakh was sold for Rs.22 lakh.

According to the records and affidavit, by the end of March 2013, Suresh Kumar and his family paid back Rs.38.27 lakh and saved Rs.15.13 lakh. But, they declared their income for the year is Rs.22.92 lakh. Besides, he showed less amount for his Basaveshwara Nagara house during the registration.

It is requested in the complaint to initiate an investigation against Suresh Kumar for not giving information on his wealth to the Income Tax Department and take suitable action against him.
