Bengaluru: The police has served third notice to Congress Leader and MLA Priyank Kharge to depose before the Criminal Investigation Department (CID) in connection with the Police Sub-inspector (PSI) recruitment scam. However, Kharge has said that he is not obligated to appear before them or produce any documents.

Karnataka Pradesh Congress Committee shared Priyank Kharge’s letter to the Director General of Police (CID) with the media on Friday May 6.

Priyank has stated in the letter, “I wish to reiterate that I am not a ‘witness’ to any of the illegal and unlawful action alleged to have taken place in the ‘scam’ and ‘crime’ as referred by you. Further, in his reply through letter to DGP (CID) on Thursday May 5 he added, “And therefore I am not obligated in any manner to either provide documents or appear before you.”
