Bengaluru: In the run up to the floor test to be held today at 4 pm, all the riparian parties have been scrambling to keep their flock of MLAs close at hand and prevent them from switching loyalties.
The Congress has released an recording of a call that allegedly took place between BJP’s BS Yeddyurappa and Congress MLA BC Patil. In the audio clip, one voice (purported to be that of BS Yeddyrappa) can be heard trying to lure Congress MLA BC Patil to switch loyalties by offering to make him a minister in the new cabinet. Although the authenticity of the tape cannot be verified, the Congress has claimed that the call took place while the MLA was in a bus en route to Cochin.
The BJP has however, denied these claims and have said that the tape is fake.
