Bengaluru: Congress has picked Ashok Managoli for Sindgi and Shrinivas Mane for the Hanagal by-elections. The voting to elect new MLAs will be held on October 30.
Interestingly both the candidates are backed by former Chief Minister Siddaramaiah.
The Congress which is sensing a come back in the State in the absence of Former CM Yediyurappa fielded strong candidates who can match the BJP money power in the constituency. Mane is a youth face while Managoli is considered as a familiar face in Sindgi. His family has a strong hold
in the constituency.
Meanwhile, Karnataka Pradesh Congress Committee President D. K. Shivakumar released the names of in-charges for the by-election. 61 in-charges have been named for Hanagal, while 47 for Sindgi.
