Mangalore: The Popular Front of India organised a protest in front of the DC’s office on Sunday April 20 condemning the killing of Kabeer by ANF personnel on Saturday April 19. The protestors urged the state government to hand over the case to the CBI.
They also demanded more compensation to Kabeer’s family and a job for his brother. False complaint filed against cattle traders should be revoked, they said.
Addressing the rally, PFI leader Shafi Bellare hit out at Siddaramaiah-led Congress government and likened it to Narendra Modi-led Gujarat. He accused the police department of colluding with the Bhajrangdal in resorting to such acts. He also hurled a serious allegation at the state government by charging it of shielding the police department when it resorted to such acts.
During the protest PFI activists raised slogans against state government, Bhajrang Dal and Sangh Parivar urging for justice.
