Bengaluru: The Education Department has directed its officials to conduct counselling from June 18 for the transfer of government primary and high school teachers, and pre-university lecturers, which was delayed due to the Legislative Assembly elections.
Last year the transfer process, which should have been completed at the end of the academic year, was postponed thrice. Teachers have already applied online and only counselling process is pending.
As per an earlier order, the counselling which is usually conducted in the Deputy Director’s office will be carried out at the Block Education Officer (BEO) offices this year. The list of the vacant posts will be shown at every BEO office and opportunity will be provided to select the designation and place of posting. Later, the Deputy Director would release the final list on priority.
