Bengaluru: Now the Covid 19 pandemic has spread its blanket all over Bengaluru city. From 16 containment zones on June 7, it increased to 56 just the next day. On Sunday the 14th, 142 containment zones had been notified in the city. On Monday night it touched 191 zones. These numbers clearly show the rapid spread of the disease everywhere in the city.
According to the BBMP sources, almost all parts of the city are now affected by the Covid 19 spread. “Earlier an entire ward was notified as the containment area. However now, it has been brought down to street/ flats. The increase in the number of patients in all the 198 wards has forced the BBMP to tackle this infectious disease on a war footing,” informed an officer from the BBMP.
Meanwhile, new Covid 19 cases from Bengaluru rural and Ramanagar districts also adding to the pressure on Bengaluru.”All are rushing to the hospitals in the city. This factor is also adding to the load on health infrastructure,” he explained.
