Bengaluru: The Karnataka Examination Authority (KEA) has postponed the Common Entrance Test-2020 and Kannada Language Test in view of the nationwide lockdown that has been imposed in the wake of the coronavirus (COVID-19) pandemic.
An announcement in this regard was made by the KEA through a press release on Monday, March 30.
It can be noted that the CET-2020 was scheduled to be held on April 22 and 23, while the Kannada Language Test was scheduled to be held on April 24.
“In order to take precautionary steps to avoid spread of Novel Corona Virus (COVID-19) pandemic in the state, Common Entrance Test-2020 scheduled to be held on 22-04-2020 and 23-04-2020 and Kannada Language Test on 24-04-2020 has been postponed, [sic]” the release stated.
The release added that the revised dates of both the exams will be announced on the KEA’s website http://kea.kar.nic.in and in newspapers.
