COVID 19 crisis: COMEDK postpones its UGET for the third time

Bengaluru: For the third time, the Consortium of Medical, Engineering and Dental Colleges of Karnataka (COMED-K) has rescheduled it’s Under Graduate Entrance Test (UGET) date. Instead of July 25, now the examination will be held on August 1.

Originally the COMEDK UGET was scheduled on May 10. However, it was postponed due to the COVID 19 related lockdown. Now again the consortium postponed the examination date.

According to COMEDK Executive Secretary S Kumar, UGET has been rescheduled based on the request made by the students’ fraternity who are appearing for the NEET-UG for medical admissions.

Kumar said that in view of this, the edit facility which was scheduled to commence from 18.06.2020 will now be provided from 12.00 Noon of 22.06.2020 till 12.00 Noon of 25.06.2020 to update test city preference, photo upload and academic details.

“It is felt that few COMEDK applicants may also appear for the Kannada Language Test being conducted by KEA on the same day of COMEDK test.

To such of those candidates, a separate window will be provided in the first week of July 2020 to capture their details and these candidates will be accommodated in the centers where UGET 2020 will be held in 2nd Shift i.e. from 02.00 PM to 05.00 PM of 1st August 2020,” he informed.
