Bengaluru: The state health department now allowed COVID 19 patients from other districts to get treatment in the COVID 19 hospitals of the city.
However, these admissions shall be done based on the recommendations of the respective district admissions and the prior approval by the BBMP.
According to a health department notification, the patient shall be referred through the Suvarna Karnataka Arogya portal by the respective district administrations. Only Dcs and the Additional Dcs are given the power to make references.
In Bengaluru, the BBMP shall confirm their admissions. “The treatment will be free for BPL patients as per the rule,” informed authorities.
