Bengaluru: Two of the 15 people who tested positive for the deadly coronavirus (covid-19) have reportedly made a complete recovery.
According to a report by ANI, state medical education minister Dr K Sudhakar, on Thursday, March 19, confirmed this news and added that the two who have recovered will be discharged from the hospital tomorrow (March 20).
“They will be kept under home quarantine for 14 days as a precautionary measure,” he added.
According to TNM, the two patients who have recovered are the wife of the Dell techie and the techie from Google.
Dr Sudhakar reportedly informed that the two patients’ samples were sent for testing and that they will be discharged on Friday once their results are received.
Further, the minister said that the recoveries are good news for the state as it shows that the infection doesn’t always result in death. “There is no need for the people to worry, but they should maintain cleanliness and take necessary precautions,” he added.
So far, there have been 15 confirmed cases of covid-19 in the state, one of whom, a 76-year-old man from Kalaburagi, died a few days ago. The latest case came from Kodagu, where a 35-year-old man tested positive for the disease after returning from Saudi Arabia.
