Covid second wave: CM calls for emergency meeting

Bengaluru: Cheif Minister BS Yediyurappa has called for an emergency meeting to discuss the situation of Covid 19 in the state. The meeting has begun at 9:30 Am at his residence on Friday April 16.

This meeting is expected to bring about revised rules and regulations as far as curbing cases of Covid in the state is concerned, it is reported. We can recollect here that, Yediyurappa had contemplated bringing in strict rules after reviewing the situation in the state till April 17.

The state’s Covid tally shot up to 11,09,650, with 96,561 active cases after 14,738 patients tested positive on Wednesday, while 9,99,958 recovered, with 3,591 discharged in the last 24 hours.
