Bengaluru: Karnataka Pradesh Congress Committee (KPCC) President Dr. G. Parameshwara said that the valedictory of Janashirvada Yathre, organized by the Congress across the state will be held at Palace Ground here on April 8 and more than 5 lakh people are expected to participate in the event.
Addressing media persons here on Saturday, Parameshwara said, “The Yathre has covered North Karnataka, Coastal Karnataka and Mysuru regions and the grand finale will be held in Bengaluru. The responsibilities have been distributed among ministers, MLAs, and corporators.
All India Congress Committee (AICC) President Rahul Gandhi would arrive on April 3 to Hubballi and carry out a roadshow at Shivamogga.He would also carry out road shows at Honnali and Harihara, followed by a public function at Davanagere, he said.
Rahul Gandhi would carry out a Block Presidents’, District Presidents’ meeting of this region on April 4, soon after he will participate in the public function at Holalkere. Later, a roadshow will be organized at Tumakuru . He is likely to meet Siddaganga seer. The schedule will be fixed after discussing with the people of mutt. On the same day, Rahul Gandhi would carry out a roadshow at Kunigal, public meeting at Magadi, before returning to New Delhi. He would come again on April 7 and organize road shows at Mulabagilu, KGF, and Bangarapet, he informed.
“The BJP is worried by our campaign and their President Amit Shah has started to run into all mutts and temples. But, they forget that along with mutt and masjids, Congress is meeting the common man as well,” he added.
