Bengaluru: Deputy Chief Minister of Karnataka, DK Shivakumar, stated on Saturday that the BJP’s attempt to overthrow the state’s Congress government through a conspiracy will not succeed.
Addressing reporters in the city before his departure for Hyderabad, DK Shivakumar discussed the resurgence of Operation Lotus in the state. Allegations from Mandya MLA Ganiga Ravi suggest that the BJP is making efforts to dislodge the Congress government, which, like the JD(S)-Congress government in 2019, came to power with a clear majority.
Shivakumar firmly rejected the BJP’s actions, asserting, “The BJP’s deplorable attempts will never succeed; it’s nothing more than a daydream.” He also stood by his decision to caution party MLAs against discussing internal party affairs, government issues, and power-sharing in the media. He emphasized that if an MLA disregards these warnings and makes statements, he would have no choice but to issue an official notice.
