Davanagere: The Bharatiya Janata Party State Chief Secretary C T Ravi has said that unlike in other parties, B S Yeddyurappa’s children will not inherit his post in the party. In BJP there is no dynasty rule, he said.
Speaking to media persons here on Thursday, April 18, he said that BJP practised internal democracy in the party and does not transfer power like family property. The kin of the leaders in the party may become MLAs and MPs but higher posts are given only as per merit and seniority in the party.
None of the BJP workers knows who may the leader after Modi. But in the Congress party, Nehru, Indira Gandhi, Rajeev Gandhi, Sonia Gandhi, Rahul Gandhi and now Priyanka Gandhi, all from the same family are forming a long line of dynasty politics. In BJP, the party leader does not inherit it from his father. The leadership would be given to any ordinary party worker depending on merits.
The extreme greed of Janata Dal (S) in expanding its family rule, has irked their party workers which would be the reason for their defeat in the elections, said C T Ravi.
