Davanagere: At least nine people were injured when a car in which they were travelling collided head-on with a divider and overturned on the side of the road near Doddabathi in Davanagere Taluk.
A child, the driver and seven women were injured. Two women sustained serious injuries. All the injured have been admitted to Davanagere District Hospital for treatment.
All the injured were residents of Karanji Katti in Killarpet in Kolhapura City. The accident took place when they were on their way from Kolhara to Sikandur Chowdeshwari Darshan a in Shivamoga District.
A case has been registered at Davanagere Rural Police Station.
