Davangere: As five women were unable to repay the loan availed from the LNT Finance Company, they are now facing the fear of being arrested.
These five women are from Kolkata working in a self-help group.
The LNT Finance Company has issued a notice against the five for not repaying the loan on the said date, as they had availed Rs 50000 loan for the year 2017-18.
They were on a condition of repaying the loan only through installment.
Due to the worst drought witnessed in the northern part of the state, these women too were helpless as they could not yield crops as expected.
The company has issued an arrest warrant against these five women through court.
They had availed the loan through the Thopenhalli women’s organisation.
However, the police had intervened earlier and given a deadline to repay the loan by November 30.
