Davangere: Here is a story of a girl from Davanagere who lost her life to cancer merely a few days before her II PUC results could be put.
B Anusha, students of Siddaganga PU College, Davangere had died a day before the last paper. It is now learnt that the girl has scored 93.4 per cent.
She scored 91 marks in Physics, Chemistry-98, Mathematics-100 and in biology 95 marks. In Kannada language she had scored 93 marks. She had secured 604/ 625 in SSLC examination two years ago.
“She wanted to become a doctor,” recalled her parents Basavarajappa and Manjamma, residents of Talikatte in Chennagiri taluk.
According to the college principal Justin D Souza, Anusha was a fighter who prepared for the examination even from the hospital bed.
College director Dr. Jayanth said, she was following the classes for various admission tests online. “We were infusing confidence in her everyday. She was preparing for NEET,” he said.
According to the college sources she was suffering from blood cancer.
