Davangere: Envious over the fact that his love interest was sharing a good camaraderie with a friend of his, Davangere Congress corporator’s son is said to have stabbed his friend in broad-daylight here on Wednesday, June 6.
An irate Rakesh, son of corporator PK Lingaraju stabbed the victim, Harish in KTJ Nagar thereby injuring him seriously. Harish has been admitted to district hospital in the city.
It is gathered that Rakesh had a liking for a girl, a model by profession. She, however, considered Rakesh only as a friend. The girl shared a good friendship with Harish, who happens to be a cameraman. Rakesh, however, mistook their friendship to be an affair. A conflict arose between the two over the girl and Rakesh stabbed his friend in a fit of fury.
A case has been registered in KTJ Nagar Police station.
