Bengaluru: Former minister, MLA Priyank Kharge has alleged that he and his father, Congress Rajya Sabha MP candidate Mallikarjun Kharge were threatened by an unknown caller.
He has lodged a complaint with DG-IGP Praveen Sood in this regard.
In his complaint, Kharge alleged that the caller, who spoke in Hindi and English, issued a death threat to him and his father. “He used abusive language and warned my father against contesting in the Rajya Sabha elections,” Priyank alleged.
He added that the incident occurred on Sunday and Monday.
The state police have formed a special team to investigate the incident and trace the culprit.
