Bengaluru: Despite regulatory measures taken by BBMP and other agencies, thousands of dead fishes surfaced on the Ulsoor lake bed on Tuesday evening.
Although the number of dead fish was less in number compared to the earlier ones last month, the number this time was not negligible.
Residents and nearby businessmen blamed BBMP for allowing drain water again into the lake resulting in mass death of fish in the lake.
It can be recalled that last month too, similar situation aroused due to lack of oxygen in the lake.
Experts inducted chemicals to detoxify the water body and the samples were sent to forensic lab for the test, but result is still awaited.
