Death threat to CJ: Advocates’ Assn to hold protest on March 23 in B’luru

Bengaluru: The Advocates’ Association Bangalore (AAB) announced on Monday March 21 that a protest will be held on March 23 in response to the death threat issued to the Chief Justice of the High Court of Karnataka over the hijab row.

The general body meeting decided to organise the protest in front of the High Court at 12.30 pm, informed AAB President Vivek S. Reddy.

He said that the meeting decided to request that the Chief Justice of India take adequate measures to protect the institution as well as all judges and lawyers working by the country’s judicial institutions. He also said that during the meeting it was also resolved to demand the state government to speed up the framing and passing of the Advocates Protection Act.
