Bengaluru: The cyber crime police registered a case against a writer named Naveen Sagar for allegedly posting defamatory statements against actress and Congress leader Ramya alias Divya Spandana.
On behalf of Ramya, advocate H V Bhavya had lodged a complaint with the cyber crime police under the provisions of the IT act after which they registered an FIR.
In her complaint, advocate Bhavya alleged that Sagar misused the photos of the films in which Ramya acted and defamed her by using abusive language. She alleged that Sagar tried to defame and tarnish the image of Ramya.
Naveen Sagar is a well-known Kannada writer and Modi supporter.
