Bengaluru: A video of a pilgrim arguing with a policeman, claiming that the police van had blocked a busy street at the Vyalikaval (15 km away from the Bengaluru city) Tirumala Tirupathi Devasthan branch temple (TTD) has gone viral.

A devotee who had visited the temple on Saturday, September 29 to avail the Lord’s darshan is seen having an altercation with the police. The pilgrim says that the police had parked their car in the middle of the busy street, causing inconvenience to passers by.

In the video, the cop is seen paying little heed to the pilgrim, who records the whole episode.

When the pilgrim questions the cop’s behaviour, the policeman identified as ASI Ramu is heard saying, “We are given a parking point here and therefore we have parked the vehicle here. The video will change nothing. I will fear the consequence only if I have committed a mistake. Do what you want.”

Speaking to a vernacular paper, ASI Ramu has said, “We are given parking spots on hourly basis. At that time of time, we were given the temple point. We never blocked the road. In the video, one can see cars passing by.”

Despite this, the video has garnered comments against the police.
