Bengaluru: DGP Om Prakash and retired police officer and adviser for the Chief Minsiter, Kempaiah were quizzed by CBI officials regarding the single digit lottery scam.
Sources said, both the officials were called to Delhi and quizzed about the case. Both were quizzed for three hours and details about the lottery mafia in the state were collected by the CBI officials.
It can be recalled that the kingpin of single digit lottery scam, Parirajan had named 35 senior officials who were in contact with him including Alok Kumar, Om Prakash, Kempaiah and others.
Alok Kumar went on public and accepted his contacts with Parirajan, which led the government to put him under suspension for a brief period.
The scam is said to run over Rs 1,000 crore. The police had arrested more than 20 persons regarding the scam and the inquiry was handed over to the CBI.
