Bengaluru: In a sudden development, the disqualified Karnataka MLAs met with BJP national organising secretary B L Santhosh, at an undisclosed location in the city, and discussed their future political strategy.
The meeting has gained importance as it was facilitated without Chief Minister B S Yediyurappa’s knowledge.
According to sources, the disqualified MLAs, including Muniratna, Gopalaiah, K Sudhakar and M T B Nagaraj, expressed concerns about their political future. Santhosh then assured them tickets, apart from asking all party leaders to fall in line in their constituencies.
Sources close to the disqualified MLAs added that they met with Santhosh because CM B S Yediyurappa failed to convince the party’s central leadership about their demands, including the issue of party tickets for the upcoming by-polls in the state. They went to Santhosh as he is calling all the shots in the BJP’s state unit.
