Bengaluru: Former Congress MP DK Suresh has called for legal action against BJP MLA Munirathna, accusing him of threatening contractor Chaluvaraju and using derogatory caste-based language. Suresh alleges that Munirathna also intimidated their election candidate and created fear among officials.
During a press conference, Suresh demanded a suo moto case against Munirathna for his alleged use of casteist slurs and abusive language. He criticised BJP leaders for their inaction, asserting that Munirathna should have been expelled from the party if they adhered to ethical standards.
Suresh also referenced the Nagamangala incident, suggesting it might have been instigated by Kumaraswamy and criticised both Kumaraswamy and Amit Shah for their statements during past riots.
This controversy underscores ongoing tensions and concerns over caste-based discrimination and political rivalries in the region.
