Bengaluru: Major irrigation minister DK Shivakumar (DKShi) will face the Enforcement Directorate (ED) grilling on Friday, February 8.
According to the summons issued by the ED, he has been asked to appear before the ED officers at 10.30 am on Friday. It can be recalled that Chief Minister HD Kumaraswamy will present his budget also on the same day.
Meanwhile, the petition moved by DKShi in the Karnataka High Court against the ED summons will come for hearing on Wednesday. It will come before the single bench of Justice Aravind Kumar.
“He has already informed about the summons to the party high command in New Delhi and has also sought permission from the assembly speaker to attend the ED investigation,” added sources.
It can be recalled that DKShi is facing ED heat over seizure of Rs.8.5 crores cash from his New Delhi apartment. Several of his close associates are also named in connection with this case.
