Bengaluru: In a heart-wrenching incident, a doctor allegedly tried to commit suicide after assisting his mother’s and sister’s suicide in the Kengeri area of the city. The doctor is currently recovering in the hospital.
According to the Kengeri police, Dr. Govind Prakash (46), a doctor by profession, injected his sister Shyamala (44), and mother Mukambika (76) with an insulin overdose, killing them. “He also tried to commit suicide. But now he is recovering in the hospital. All of them slipped into depression as Shyamala was a divorcee and had health problems. The mother was depressed as her son was unmarried. They took this extreme step after writing a suicide note,” said the police.
“The family was from Bantwal in Dakshina Kannada,” added the police.
