DPI prescribes new menu for mid-day meals; New dish every day

Bengaluru: The Department of Public Instruction (DPI) has revised the mid-day meal menu, following complaints that the students are not getting nutritious food. As per the revised menu, each day, the students will be served a different meal.

On Mondays, the students must be served rice and sambar made comprising vegetables and greens. On Tuesdays, vegetable pulav, dal or tomato bath/vegetable palya has been recommended.

Rice-rasam/palya (Wednesdays), rice-vegetable sambar (Thursdays), Bisibelebath (Fridays) and chapati-sagu/vegetable sambar/wheat pongal has been recommended for Saturdays.
