ED Conducts Raids on KIADB Offices in Bengaluru and Dharwad
On Friday, the Enforcement Directorate (ED) executed coordinated raids on the Karnataka Industrial Area Development Board (KIADB) offices in Bengaluru and Dharwad. The searches began in the afternoon at the KIADB office in Khanija Bhavan, Bengaluru, and continued until the evening.
The raids are reportedly linked to investigations into land acquisition and compensation issues in the Hubballi-Dharwad region, particularly around Gamanagatti village, near Dharwad. The focus is on allegations of fraudulent documentation used to secure compensation for acquired lands. The officers involved are accused of embezzling substantial amounts of money under the guise of compensation payments.
During the raids, the ED officials scrutinized documents and files from the finance wing of the KIADB. These actions follow serious allegations of financial misconduct and mismanagement within the organization.
