Meanwhile, markets in cities like Kolkata, Hyderabad, and Patna are bustling with activity, with shoppers purchasing traditional items like clothes, dry fruits, perfumes, and sweets to mark the occasion.

To manage the increased number of people attending Eid prayers, several cities have imposed traffic restrictions and diversion plans. Here are the key traffic advisories issued in different cities:

Noida: The Noida traffic police has issued a traffic advisory with diversions in place from 6 AM to 10 AM to accommodate the influx of people attending prayers. The areas affected by the diversion plan include:

  • Gol Chakkar Chowk
  • Sandeep Paper Mill
  • Harola Chowk
  • Bans Balli Market Tiraaha
  • Sector 8, 10, 11, 12 Chowk
  • Jhundpura Chowk
  • Sector 6 Police Chowki Tiraaha
  • Kasba Kasna at Aichhar Chowk
  • Dadri Kasba Tiraaha Authorities have asked commuters to follow the diversion plan to avoid traffic congestion, especially around masjid areas.

Bengaluru: In Bengaluru, traffic police have announced temporary restrictions around Gurappanapalya on Bannerghatta Road to manage the crowd for Eid prayers. Key routes where vehicle movement will be prohibited include:

  • Sagar Hospital Junction to Gurappanapalya Junction on BG Road
  • Sai Ram Junction to Gurappanapalya Junction
  • 39th Cross Road–Reddy Hospital Junction to Gurappanapalya Junction These measures aim to ensure smooth traffic flow during the peak prayer hours.

Hyderabad: Hyderabad traffic police have also issued an advisory in anticipation of heavy crowds attending Eid prayers at Mir Alam Eidgah, Zoo Park, and Masab Tank Hockey Grounds. Traffic congestion is expected from 7 AM to 11:30 AM in areas like:

  • Bahadurpura
  • Kalapather
  • Nawab Saheb Kunta
  • Shastripuram
  • Danamma Huts Motorists are advised to plan their routes accordingly and expect delays.
