Mangaluru: In a shocking development as many as eight doctors and two police personnel from Dakshina Kannada district have been tested positive.
A total of 44 persons were tested positive for COVId-19 in the district on Tuesday.
Out of the eight medicos tested positive, a few are HoDs working in various hospitals. At least 20 doctors have been tested positive over the last one week and over 50 are under quarantine.
Ullal police station continued to witnessed positive cases among the police personnel. One constable and one Home Guard were tested positive on Tuesday.
A total of ten policemen including SI, ASI were earlier tested positive.
There are total of 639 positive cases in the district and 292 positive cases.
