Bengaluru: In a happy ending, an eight-month-old toddler of a blind couple, which went missing two days ago has now reunited with its parents. A woman handed over the toddler to the Upparpet police station who in turn handed over the toddler to the blind couple. The toddler went missing from Majestic bus terminus, platform number 19D on Monday morning.
According to the Upparpet police, on Monday morning, the toddler named Sagar, son of blind couple Basavaraju and BK Chinnu from Raichur went missing from the Majestic KSRTC bus terminus.
On Monday, Basavaraju and BK Chinnu couple who arrived from Raichur to the city in search of a job left the toddler with an unknown woman at platform number 19D to go to the bathroom. When they returned, the woman was not there. They approached the police. As they were a blind couple, the incident became viral. The police formed a special team to trace the kid.
On Tuesday evening, Channabasavamma, a resident of Chitradurga arrived at Upparpet police station and handed over the kid to the police. She informed the police that her daughter Parvathamma brought the toddler to her home.
“A woman gave the kid to my daughter on the pretext of going to the bathroom. As she didn’t return, my daughter brought the kid home. She searched for the woman everywhere and didn’t find her. So she brought the kid home as she feared for the child,” she informed the police.
“We came to know about the incident via media. So I bought the kid to the police station,” she informed.
Now the police are searching for the woman who handed over the toddler to Parvathamma.
