Eight phones were on conference call when Gauri Lankesh was murdered

Bengaluru: The Special Investigation Team probing the Gauri Lankesh murder case has dug out a very crucial detail.

After going through over 25 lakh call details from Gandhinagar to Rajarajeshwari Nagar area, the SIT has found that as many as eight persons were on conference call just around the time the renowned journalist was shot death on September 5 outside her residence in Rajarajeshwari Nagar.

The team that went tracing the eight mobile phone has learnt that all the eight SIM cards were purchased submitting fake identity proofs and the mobiles were deactivated instantly after Gauri was killed.

The sources say that from an outside the crime seems to have been executed by Supari killers, however, more clarity will emerge once more details of the conversations between the eight persons are out.
