Bengaluru: It was reported that state government may not postpone the hike in electricity rates considering the fact that the present lockdown restriction in the state is not as stringent as last year. New rates are likely to be published soon.
The surveys regarding the revision of electricity rates of many of the supply companies have already been completed by the Karnataka Electricity Regulatory Commission (KERC).
KERC generally conducts the survey and the electricity rates are revised on April 1 each year but this year the process had gotten delayed due to lockdown.
